Startled from sleep, I groggily looked at my phone ringing by my bedside. The sound was intrusive, but it quickly cleared the fog from my brain. A familiar name flashed on the screen, and I stared at it through a series of rings and subsequent silent pauses. With a sigh of surrender, I picked up the device.
“Hi, beautiful,” the voice on the other end said. “What are you going to create today?”
“Loving, positive interactions with everyone I come in contact with,” I said, smiling wryly to myself.
“Hmmm, sounds wonderful,” the voice said. “Are you still free for lunch today?”
“Of course! Bill’s at noon?”
“Yep,” was her simple reply.
“Hey, why did you call me so early?” I asked, my eyes finally focusing on the clock.
“It is time for you to wake up,” she said.
